“As a family nurse practitioner, I feel an inspired connection to the communities I’m entrusted to support. It’s what fuels the gratification I get from the career I’ve chosen.
Before moving to Florida, I ran two extremely busy rural health clinics in Michigan providing ENT-focused care. That experience, in combination with my time at the Veterans Administration and as a critical care nurse practitioner (hospice), has shaped my patient care philosophy and how I work with families to help them understand their health concerns and the options for addressing them.
In terms of academics, I have been trained to treat the whole family, from infancy to the elderly. That means I can assess, diagnose, and treat a wide array of ENT-related conditions that present to the clinic. I also know that patients with complex conditions sometimes need to see a physician or a specialist.
To me, serving the community means giving equal care and respect to every patient regardless of race, age, religion, or economic status. Patients are like family and will always be treated with dignity and compassion.”
